Recommendation Station

Friends often ask me to recommend online apps and tools. And because they know I’m picky, skeptical, and ornery, they also know that anything I love is worth (at least) taking a look at.

Now you know it, too :-)

My current faves are listed below. And because I have a tendency to rave on and on, I’ve whittled my recommendations down to tweet-length. If I’ve written a longer review, you’ll see a link to it.

In general, I love stuff that works great, looks nice, and doesn’t annoy. Also, I like spending money but hate wasting it, so things I recommend are always a good value but not necessarily cheap or free.

Unless it says otherwise, anything listed here is something I paid for, use(d) for my business, and love to bits. Some vendors may treat me to a small referral bonus if you give them a try.

The list may be sparse now, but it’ll be long and strong soon enough. You’ll see.

Kanbanpad begets clarity. Secure, simple, tweakable, free (for now). Chosen over other kanban apps because I can add tasks without clicking.

Buffer seems like cheating, but no one wins when I pummel followers with tweet clusters. It sets a fine pace. I pay for the Pro plan.
